Nature and naturalism

Reading workshop / discussion

with artists Linda Vidgocika and Jānis Noviks

The representation of nature in art, both in landscape painting and interdisciplinary projects on ecology, often appear as an authentic quote of reality, a deep observation and a genuine concern for the environment. However, there are also a number of attempts to complicate these idyllic ideas by making fictitious environments or questioning the very concept of nature itself.
