Publishing in the Wild

Midstream publishing is based on a concept of the middle, which arises at various instances: between languages (producing texts and publishing between languages, not just translating a text into another language), as translocality, and also between electronic publishing and print publishing, which do not appear as separate possibilities but rather as a combined process (also comprising a whole palette of smaller forms on the web from blog comments or blogrolls all the way to alternative forms of social media communication).
On this basis, and informed by the concepts developed in the seminar and during the preparation phase of the project as well as by current findings from partners’ activities, the eipcp will start a series of publishing experiments that take the form of transforming production to an increasingly audience-/public-centric publishing project.
